Cobblestone Farm Updated November 2018

Berkshire pigs are a rare heritage pig originating from the English county of Berkshire. It is a breed that was developed and used on farms and homesteads before the advent of modern industrial agriculture.

Berkshire pork or Kurobuta, as it is also referred to, is the most highly sought after pork in the world it looks and tastes like no other pork.

  • is not bland or mild like regular pork
  • has a distinctive flavour
  • has an unparalleled juiciest and tenderness
  • has a darker richer colour
  • has an abundance of intramuscular marbling.

We chose this breed as it thrives outdoors and can be raised naturally on feed without added growth hormones and antibiotics.

Our pigs are free ranging and fed on locally grown grain.

You have tried the rest now try the best and put some Berkshire Pork on your Fork!

Berkshire pigs are currently listed as CRITICAL with less than 35 females being registered in 2014 & 2015 in the whole of Canada.
